South West Athletics Gala (SWAG)
Unfortunately we have had to cancel this event. We hope this will be a regular and popular fixture with 4 competitions on one day – a junior Event, a senior Graded Gala, a disability Event and an inter University Event. We have already had interest from a number of GB level athletes and many are joining our facebook page South West Athletics Gala (SWAG) including sprinter Leon Reed, and 110m hurdler David King click on link Spaces will be limited so we advise early entries for this event:
Under 11’s 2 events – £8, 3 events £12
Under 13-17 – on the day 1 Event £7, 2 Events £13, 3 Events £17
1 event £10, 2 events – £20, 3 events – £25 – 4 events -£30, 5 events £35 – medals for 1st 3

We will also have an inter university challenge as part of this event so please enter your university details when you enter under club section .
Masters are also welcome – There will be no seperate medals or prizes but you can enter under your age group – see entry section.
Events start 12pm-3pm
Under 11’s – 100m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump,Shot
Under 13’s 100m, 200m, 70/75m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot, Discus, Javelin
Under 15’s 100m, 200m, 75/80m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, High Jump, Long Jump, Pole Vault, Shot, Discus, Javelin
There are no specific under 17 events this year due to the clash with YDL but athletes can enter an age group above (under20 ) if they still want to compete
Senior SWAG Programme
Events start at 2pm -4pm,
Under 20s and Seniors 100m, 200m, 400m, 100/110m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, 100m, 400m, 1500m -depending on numbers we hope to have specific masters races in these events.
Senior Field programme – 2pm-8pm
High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault, Shot, Discus, Javelin*, Hammer*
* events to be confirmed.
SWAG Main Graded Programme
4pm – 8pm
Seniors and Under 20’s A and B Graded races in : 100m, 200m, 400m, 100/110m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, 2k /3k steeple chase, 5k (limited entries to faster than 17:30 for the men and 19:00 for the women).
The top 5 performances in each event will be graded into the A and B finals (athletes will be notified a week before the event) – the remaining places will be offered to the fastest times in the main pre programme races.
Depending on numbers we hope to have specific masters races in the following events- 100m, 400m, 1500m and 5000m.

Overall positions and any potential prize money will be based on the RAZA system. This event is registered as an IPC Event.
